ACML-GPU

Important Announcement

AMD APP Math Libraries Absorb Functions From ACML-GPU

Now that the latest version of the AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing Math Libraries (APPML) is released, availability and support for ACML-GPU will be discontinued on October 1, 2011. APPML contains FFT and BLAS functions written in OpenCL and designed to run on AMD GPUs. The libraries also support running on CPU devices to facilitate debugging and multicore programming.

Introduction to ACML

Get a first hand introduction of the AMD Core Math Library from Chip Freitag, a 17 year AMD veteran, currently working on the ACML Team. He talks about what ACML is, how it differs from ACML-GPU and who could really take advantage of it. He also gives some insight into what the team is working on now to improve ACML and when we will have access to those new features. (7:36)
