AMD is proud to announce the second annual AMD Treasure Hunt in Second Life! This immersive, interactive treasure hunt game highlights AMD's performance and optimization tools, technical resources and developer services. And while you're on the island searching for clues, browse our interactive displays or simply explore our beautiful island paradise!

If you haven't already done so, visit AMD Dev Central Island and accept our treasure hunt challenge. Successful participants will be registered for Dev Central membership, as well as for a chance to win an AMD Phenom™ quad-core processor-based "Spider"desktop system including ATI Radeon™ HD 3800 series graphics and an AMD 7-series chipset.

Have you been paying attention to the latest trends in multi-core processors and multi-threaded programming? Are you curious about how parallel programming can dramatically improve application (and of course, PC gaming) performance? Are you a code warrior interested in a cool challenge?

If so, you might have what it takes to conquer the AMD Treasure Hunt Game!

Ten game stations are strategically hidden throughout AMD Dev Central Island, and each station poses a different programming question or challenge. Answer at least five questions correctly, and you will be eligible to enter our grand prize drawing (a super-cool AMD "Spider" platform PC, featuring the AMD Phenom™ processor, AMD 700-series chipset, and ATi Radeon™ graphics card or equivalent system - See Official Rules for details).

After each correct answer, you will be given a clue about where to find the next game station. The ten game stations all display the following banner:
