What is the AMD Fusion12 Developer Summit?
The AMD Fusion12 Developer Summit (AFDS) is a three-day summit that brings together leaders from across the industry for presentations, training, and collaboration on heterogeneous computing, OpenCL™, OpenGL, DirectCompute, and C++ AMP.
When and where will AFDS take place?
AFDS is held on June 11-14, 2012 in Bellevue, Washington, at the Meydenbauer Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.
Who will be there?
More than 700 technologists from across the industry participated in the inaugural AFDS. This year, nearly 1,000 are expected from around the world. Representatives from the software and hardware community will be here. Software developers, hardware architects, ISVs, OSVs, middleware vendors, programmers, multimedia professionals, coders, project managers, academics, senior AMD leaders, and members of the global media come to learn, plan, and collaborate.
Why should I attend the AMD Fusion12 Developer Summit?
Heterogeneous computing is rapidly being adopted by every corner of the technology industry. Attend AFDS to help enhance your current skills and learn new skills that can impact your projects today—and help you take better advantage of this new paradigm in the future. You’ll get the latest news about trends and industry developments, including insight into where AMD and other top technology companies are putting their focus. Plus, AFDS provides a great opportunity to forge and grow relationships that will enable you to lead, rather than follow, the market.
What will I get out of attending AFDS?
Through powerful keynotes, detailed breakout sessions, and hands-on labs, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to tap into the features of CPUs and GPUs to help accelerate your applications, plus how to best leverage the newest APUs.

You’ll interact with other pioneers and experts who are helping to advance heterogeneous computing, and learn about technologies they are employing. And you’ll leave the Summit knowing you’ve contributed to the growth of an academic and professional community based on open standards.

After these three days, you’ll have formed lasting connections and be better prepared to recommend heterogeneous computing implementations for your company or project.
How much does it cost to attend?
Early Bird registration is $395, a $300 savings off the door price. Registration is live. Be sure to to stay up-to-date on every valuable offer and special announcements as they happen. Kindly note, for safety reasons, children under 18 are not permitted.
